Information about Botox Treatment

Botox or botulinum toxin type A, has the unique ability to reduce or improve the appearance of frown lines and furrows between the eyebrows, crow’s feet at the corners of the eyes, and some neck wrinkles and bands, along with relieving migraines and excessive underarm sweating.
Botox is actually a purified protein extracted made from the botulinum toxin, which is the same bacterium that causes food poisoning. However, in cosmetic procedures only minute amounts are used to achieve results.

Spread of the toxin to other areas of the body has only been reported in very rare cases.
Botox treatment is considered safe and effective for these problems, although results are temporary, and treatment must be repeated in 3 to 8 months. (Lengths of effectiveness, varies by patient.)
Here at Botox In Dubai, we use only the most advanced and effective forms of Botox; specifically Allergan and Dysport. Allergan is typically used for excessive underarm sweating and Dysport is used for facial wrinkles in patients ages 18 to 65.

After Botox, carefully watch for any signs of allergic reaction and contact your doctor immediately if any symptoms manifest themselves. Anyone can have a serious allergic reaction to any medication or treatment. If you have previously had any allergic reaction to any Botox product, you should report this prior to scheduling treatment.
When used as directed, Botox is considered safe. However, any treatment or medication can have serious or life threatening side effects in some individuals.

Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding should not have Botox injections. The effects, if any, of Botox on fetuses and infants has not been determined. You should also not have Botox treatment if you have any neurological disease.
Those who have weak facial muscles, or who have had facial surgery previously, may not be candidates for Botox treatment. The same is true of those with excessively oily skin, facial scarring, or droopy eyelids and sagging eyelid folds. You may also not be a candidate for Botox if your wrinkles cannot be smoothed out by spreading and flattening your skin.

Make sure your Botox provider is informed of all medications that you are taking, both prescription and over the counter varieties. Also report all medical conditions and health issues from which you suffer.
Check the Botox medication guide and report any allergies you have to any of the ingredients in Botox.
